Talitha Jae is like a breath of fresh air on a warm sunny day. Drawing inspiration from jazz, folk, country, indie, pop, and blues, her wistful interpretations transport listeners on a dreamy journey into their past. With a delicious jazz undertone, her angelic voice evokes deep emotions.
An award-winning artist, Talitha has won and placed in numerous competitions for both singing and songwriting. Notable achievements include being a top 10 national finalist in the Listen Up Music Songwriting Festival in 2018 and semi-finalist in 2020 and 2023. She received third place in the Folk/Acoustic category at the Australian Songwriters Association Awards and second place in the Tablelands Folk Festival Songwriting Competition. In 2022, she was honored as Mental Health Musician of the Year for QLD by the Mental Health Foundation of Australia. She also completed a mentorship under Sara Storer through the Women in Music Mentorship Program. In 2023, she was selected to attend the Australian Women in Music Awards as a Regional Delegate and graduated from the Senior Course with the Country Music Academy of Australia in Tamworth in early 2024.
In 2021, Talitha released her debut EP, ‘Spilt T,’ supported by a Regional Arts Development Fund Grant. The launch event at Bulmba-Ja Arts Centre sold over 120 tickets and received rave reviews. The EP and its singles have gained international attention, with ‘I’m Done’ reaching number one on the AMRAP regional charts.
In 2024, Talitha released the enchanting single ‘Meet Me at the Window,’ which has enjoyed great success. The accompanying film clip, with its captivating visuals, has been widely celebrated and played on CMA, further cementing her reputation as a rising star in the music scene.
She has performed at numerous festivals, including Savannah in The Round, Tablelands Folk Festival, Cairns Festival, and the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Talitha has also been featured on Music View TV (formerly Balcony TV) and has supported renowned artists such as Clare Bowditch, The Wolfe Brothers, Bob Evans, and Frente.
